For sellers

Auctions will run approximately once a month. Once the Old Modern shop is cleared we will be receiving goods on consignment for upcoming auctions.

How it works: 

  • Commission is  charged for sales at 16.5% inclusive fo GST. No hidden charges, the commission is fees you as a seller will be charged for selling with us, no lotting, photography payment fees. 16.5% is all inclusive.

  • Drop-offs can be made by appointment only until standard auction room hours are established. 

  • There are costs if you want us to come to you and collect items for sale. There is a $50 call out fee to provide an estimate on goods. This will be waived if consigning more than $1000 worth of goods.

  • If you need bulky goods collected it's $60 and hour for one staff and the van if you will help load or $90 with two staff.

For buyers 

How it works:

  • Auctions will be available for viewing on days listed here.

  • All auctions will be open for pre-bidding online from the date listed live. You are able to be at the stated increments one click at a time or leave a maximum bid. The maximum bid is private to you as a buyer and can not be seen by others or in house by the auctions room staff.

  • If computers are not your thing you are able to visit us and bid in person in Tyabb. There is limited seating available so mainly standing room only. Absentee bids can be left with the auctioneer if preferred.

  • NO telephone bids here can be taken. You may send your own representative to the auction and have them bid on your behalf if you are unavailable.
